Lucerne Fields is one of Botswana’s leading horticulture and livestock producers. You’ll find our mixed farming enterprise next to the beautiful Limpopo River in Botswana's well-known Tuli Block. At Lucerne Fields, we believe in sustainable farming – using organic and regenerative farming methods that respect the ecosystem. To produce the best possible quality products, we continuously invest in our operations and ensure that our 170 workers work towards the same goal.
B-Fresh Vegetables
On 240 hectares of irrigated land, we grow Botswana’s famous B-Fresh Carrots and B-Fresh Beetroot – delicious, nutrient-dense, healthy vegetables sought after by wholesalers, retailers, processors and families across Botswana. Our vegetables are hydro-cooled for long-lasting quality and freshness.
Leadwood Limousin Stud
Our Limousin Stud animals are raised to produce quality breeding stock for other purebred Limousin producers and commercial cattle farmers. At Leadwood Limousins, we continuously invest in top-quality genetics to breed fertile, functional, efficient animals with high-yielding carcases. The Limousins are bred in an endemic heartwater area well-adapted to the harsh African climatic conditions.
Leadwood Livestock
Our Limousin/Brahman cross-bred commercial herd is reared under free-range conditions in Botswana's harsh Sandveld area, which ensure full-flavoured, lean beef of the highest quality. These hormone-free, traceable and FMD-free commercial cattle are produced according to EU-production standards and are marketed to BMC and other regional abattoirs.
